"Check out my new jewels"

I got Tagged!

SIX THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

1) Sunshine, pref with a beach, a drink with a little umbrella, and a nice tan.
2) When Stella is happy, I am happy.:)
3) Not having to cook, which is often...thanks Gary!:)
4) Looking "polished", my nails done, eyebrows waxed and a nice haircut. Oh, and a massage and facial make it that much better. Can I throw in a new purse in this one?
5) Peace and quiet.
6) A clean house...pref when Im not the one cleaning it.:)

God I sound shallow...but honesty counts for something, right? :)

SIX WEIRD THINGS ABOUT ME

1) I am not a morning person, AT ALL.
2) I use big words all the time and I don't even know if I am using them correctly, much less able to spell them.
3) I drink Tea, not coffee.
4) I really put an effort in to being organized...but you wouldn't know it.
5) I do have big dreams...some or all of the following...owning a Marble Slab Ice Cream shop, publishing a coffee table book of my photography, having a black american express...and enjoying everything that comes with all of these things.
6) Ok, I wasnt going to mention this...but Im a big handwasher and hand sanitizer user...use a paper towel to open the bathroom door when you are exiting. Do you know how many people use the bathroom and then leave without washing their hands? They need to make it mandatory, handle to enter bathroom, push to exit. Are you with me on this one?

Something even more weird? Some of my weird stuff matches my sisters, so Im going to cheat and say her # 3, and # 6.
And, yes, add me on...

Valentines Day

I love Valentines Day. I like baking treats for it, making handmade Valentines, giving chocolates, love notes and little surprises.
I think of it more of a "cute" holiday than romantic. Is that because I have a three year old that I enjoy coloring, painting and reading with?
Stella had her Valentines Day tea with Dad on Friday. I helped her class make scones on Thurs and then helped serve tea to all 30 "couples" in six shifts of twenty quality minutes. It was so neat to watch. Some dads you could tell were completely into it. I know being in a family of teachers, I am not discovering or saying anything new when I say, 30 kids, and 30 completely different personalities. I meet the moms all the time at school with all the different events to volunteer for, but rarely have I gotten to see the dads. So when you see the kids, and their dads, most of the time its like the missing piece of the puzzle. It was a sweet day, only a couple of dads were subbed (sp?) with grandfathers or mothers. But for the most part, these guys took off a couple of hours from work to so they wouldnt have to run after tea. That sais alot. because somebody has to work to send their kids to that school. They brought flowers, stuffed animals, and letters of "I love you". The kids carefully poured hot tea, and were happy to pour in cream or sugar, and the scones were delicious.
In the meanwhile, there was a magician out on the playground for the rest of the kids and classes to watch. I can't wait for mothers day tea...
(Before I show pics, I should mention its a montessori school, so her class is 3, 4 and 5 yr olds.) Oh and the blonde is "Stone", her "boyfriend".
